How To Make The Best of Change

But I’ve come to believe that every time things change faster than I would want, there is a greater reason as hand.
Change is the nature of The Uni-verse. From season to season, change is how we grow and evolve. We are all in different seasons of our lives. Some of us are in the depth of a spiritual or emotional Winter. We are hibernating and going through a period of letting go. Some of us have passed through the Winter, let go of the old and have entered a Spring time season of rebirth. New ideas, new projects and new people have entered our lives and we are planting new seeds in many different areas of our lives.
For others, it may be a time of Summer – seeds planted and now the hard work begins of bringing about our dreams. And some of us are in the Fall, a time of harvesting our hard work and enjoying the fruits.
No matter where you are in the cycle of your life, be there fully. You may prefer one season to another, but each season has it’s own unique and perfect purpose in your life. You cannot harvest if you do not plant new seeds. And if you don’t harvest, you won’t have room to plant new seeds. Every season has a reason and fulfills its part in the cycle of our lives.
If you’re in Winter, be in Winter fully. Let go, hibernate and let yourself rest. If you’re in Spring, plant the best seeds. Get rid of any weeds (aka relationships) that may be holding down your potential. If you’re in Summer, keep working. Keep your seeds well tended. Be a good steward of your dreams and projects. They need to be guided to conclusion. If you’re in Fall, learn to receive and know that you deserve to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
Life is cycles. When we stop changing and remain static, we start to die a little death that can snowball into greater consequences if we don’t go with the season. Planting a seed in Winter doesn’t work. Trying to harvest in the Spring will bear no fruit. Make sure you’re in sync with your season and soak it up.
You’re not being punished, you’re being taught. Go with the seasons, and know that they are all part of a larger cycle of The Uni-verse that is for your benefit if you can become aware of the season you’re in.
What season are you in today? What can you do to come more into harmony with your season?
Much love,
