Back home in my comfy bed reflecting on my last trip, thanking my lucky stars and angels for all the blessings during the trip. Although extremely emotional, I felt a huge relieve after Saturday. Inspired by the people I have met, the opportunities created and the conversations both personal and professional, I feel a sense of hope and desire to lift myself up to a higher level of manifestation and declaration to the universe of what my intentions are for the months and even perhaps years to come. I have been big on living a day at a time and really getting thru it simply and effectively by letting myself feel so I can heal but my gut tells me its time to get back to seeing the bigger picture and manifest it. Part of my inspiration came when I was listening to Jerry Weintraub speaking on KCRW (local L.A station). I loved his drive and passion at 72 after a lifetime of success in both the music and film industry and immediately downloaded his book: When I Stop Talking, You'll Know I'm Dead: Useful Stories from a Persuasive Man
and started listening to it. For the first time in a while I had a huge smile on my face listening to his humble beginnings in Brooklyn, I guess it reminded me a bit of myself moving from Paris to L.A. I would be thrilled to experience half of the success Jerry has had so far. Time to break the spell I have been under and cast some good fortune my way.
Quotes of the day:
"Change happens when the pain of holding on becomes greater than the fear of letting go"
Cynthia Occelli
"Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity."
— Pema Chödrön (The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times)
