L.A Traffic= Time To Reflect
Thanks to L.A's notorious traffic, driving back from LAX on a friday was the perfect opportunity to listen to music and reflect on week 3 of post relationship life. I started the drive with Maroon 5's Nothing Lasts Forever
which lyrics speak of loving but letting go, followed by Linkin Park's In The End
, the tale of a lover who had tried it all only to loose, in the end. I tried to somewhat get off the sad train by throwing Tupac's To Live & Die In L.A. [Explicit] version in the mix to cheer me up and make me feel as street as I could be driving my Prius thru Inglewood. I always get a certain sense of pride about living in L.A listening to that song. Speaking of pride, here are a few things I am proud of this week:
* I have given up sugar because who needs to run to dessert to feel better only to end up with a heavy butt and a heavy heart, pass...
*I worked out every other day and ate balance meals.
*I meditated on sending compassion, love & forgiveness to all the people that have hurt me in the past.Holding a grudge is no way to heal.
*I laughed and cried but laughed more.
* I got out of my comfort zone and made great business connections.
I am looking forward to a quiet and reflective weekend which will include more hikes, a trip to Malibu (yey another 45mns drive...!! ) and feature the comforting sounds of Michael Jackson's Off The Wall
, The Eagles's I Can't Tell You Why
and Journey's Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)
because there is nothing a Journey song won't cure!
Welcome to L.A!!
I love the Bu'!!
