Riders On The Storm

Another day of rain in L.A...Set the mood for it this morning by waking up to The Door's Riders On The Storm.  Grateful for the roof over my head, my comfy jammies and Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon which makes the perfect soundtrack to the dark skies outside.  Rocking a warm hat that actually belongs to the ex.  I should return it to him but it fits so good and I really don't want to give it up.  It's cozy and I need cozy things at all times these days (Yes I own cashmere panties).  Separating and returning items is part of healing some say but some things just can't be given back... Although the ex does not owe me anything,  if an item of his brings me a bit of coziness and comfort, it's the least he could do for me... As the rain washes the streets of L.A clean, I feel it's also washing away my heavy week of emotions and thoughts into on infinite ocean of hope.   Hope next week will bring me the strength I need to apply myself to my work.  I am plotting world domination after all and I really to need to get to it!! Speaking of strength, I love this quote from August Wilson:

Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.

Other quote I love by George Bernard Shaw:
"It is a curious sensation: the sort of pain that goes mercifully beyond our powers of feeling. When your heart is broken, your boats are burned: nothing matters any more.  It is the end of happiness and the beginning of peace."
